Convert to Perforce QAC Project

Before an Eclipse project can be converted to a Perforce QAC project, it must be present in the current workspace. If it is a C or C++ project, it must have a C/C++ nature.

You can also convert the project to a Perforce QAC project by right-clicking on the project in the Explorer Context Menu, and selecting Perforce QAC > Convert To Perforce QAC Project.

There are restrictions on project names used in Perforce QAC. Please refer to the final section of the Perforce QAC Component Manual for more information.

A New Project dialog is displayed to create an empty Perforce QAC project at a given location:

Select the required project and click Next.

The New Project dialog initial view permits you to specify the:

  • Perforce QAC project location, which doesn't have to be the same as the source code location
  • project name
  • analysis configuration file
  • rule configuration file
  • compiler settings.

If the defaults are acceptable click Finish. If you need to specify other compiler template options, click Next.

The dialogue view will update to where you can change the C compiler template suitable for your environment

Clicking Next provides a similar dialog for the C++ compiler template.

Click Finish.
